S House: A Villa-Style Home Combining Recreation and Modernity

The S House stands out with its bright and light-colored woods and stone materials, creating a cozy yet refined ambiance. The use of these materials, along with the interplay of bright, cold-toned light reflecting on dark-tinted glass, showcases the impeccable taste of a young and fashionable individual.

Spanning 155 square meters, the S House features an innovative layout that maximizes space and functionality. The front balcony can be transformed into a spacious foyer by removing the partition, creating a seamless connection to the living room. A sliding wooden grille door separates the living room and foyer, allowing for privacy when desired while still maintaining an open and airy feel.

The centerpiece of the design is the standalone kitchen island, positioned in the center of the room. This layout is perfect for solo relaxation or hosting gatherings with friends under the soft, subdued lamplight. The S House effortlessly combines style and practicality, offering a versatile space for various activities.

One of the design's notable features is the corridor in the open study area, ingeniously connecting the master bedroom and the guest room. This corridor ensures privacy while providing easy access for the elders in the family. Additionally, the open study area is equipped with a clothes storage system, maximizing functionality and organization.

The S House is located in Taipei City, Taiwan, and was completed by Studio. Ho Design. The project showcases meticulous research and attention to detail, resulting in a villa-style home that seamlessly blends recreation and modernity.

The S House received the Iron A' Design Award in 2018 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award recognizes the S House as a well-designed, practical, and innovative creation that meets professional and industrial requirements. The design integrates industry best practices and exhibits competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
